Studies show that vitamins per se cannot prevent heart disease… However, vitamins are still important for overall health (which includes the heart).

Vitamins C, E and D are believed to be the most important, with vitamin E said to help prevent heart attacks when taken alone.

There is also a possibility that low levels of vitamin D can contribute to heart disease, but the studies are still inconclusive.

The general consensus in the medical community is that vitamin supplements alone will have little to no impact on the heart health but healthy nutrition, on the other hand, that is rich in vitamins is important for the  prevention of heart disease.
